Plot 34 Laguna Estate project is conceived following the principles of lightness, visual permeability and conscious integration to the surrounding landscape aiming for sustainable response to the environment through passive architectural solutions. Nature visually pass through the ground floor common spaces while at the upper hung volumes all family rooms and studios are located, allowing those great long views out to the landscape with its lagoons. A deep cantilevered roof create solar shading as well as shelter to the out door area. The ground floor is completely accessible and permeable without any change of level or material between interior or exterior. A large fireplace for winter nights is the heart of the single height living area while the double height stay open toward the outdoor areas to the 25 mt pool over hanging into the landscape. Natural rain water harvesting, passive shading, natural light distribution , natural ventilation and contained land use contribute to keep the building in respect to the local uncontaminated environment.
