Invited to the competition for a Mixed Use Development aiming to be the NEW COMMERCIAL HEART of Madinat Al Irfan, MFS designed a new downtown for an integrated, sustainable and inclusive community that will offer prominent business headquarters, retail, entertainment facilities, residential uses and hospitality. The site is a focal point for Muscat new development located close to the city\\\'s major attractions and surrounded by new road network which connects principal roads like Sultan Qaboos Highway and Muscat Express way. A huge ground void, inspired by the natural Oman lake ?Bimah Sinkhole?, arising in the middle of the site introduces a new Urban Plaza connected with the park, offering ideal environmental conditions as it is protected by a canopy.The World Trade Centre through its emblematic design will be established as the landmark of the new international center.
